Terms of Service
- Citadel AI only reads your AWS accounts. It never changes anything; you decide what to apply.
- 14-day free trial, then a monthly subscription you can cancel any time.
- Your data stays yours. We use it only to give you recommendations.
- Payments, invoices and refunds are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record.
1Who we are
Citadel AI (the "Service") is operated by CODENEX SRL, a company registered in the Republic of Moldova in 2024, IDNO 1024600018769 ("we", "us"). You can reach us at andrei@code-nex.tech.
These Terms govern your use of the Service at citadelcloud.app and demo.citadelcloud.app. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm that you may accept these Terms on its behalf.
2Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old. The Service is intended for businesses and for individuals who use it in their trade or profession, such as freelancers and consultants who manage AWS accounts.
3What the Service does
Citadel AI connects to your Amazon Web Services (AWS) accounts through a read-only IAM role that you create and control. It reads resource metadata, utilization metrics and billing data, and produces cost-saving recommendations and, where included in your plan, security findings.
- The Service never changes anything in your AWS accounts. You decide which recommendations to apply and apply them yourself.
- Savings figures are estimates based on AWS list prices and your recent usage. Actual savings depend on your usage, discounts and the changes you make. We do not guarantee any particular result.
- AWS may charge you small amounts for the API requests the Service makes in your accounts (for example CloudWatch and Cost Explorer requests). These charges are billed by AWS to you.
4Your account
Keep your login details secure and tell us promptly about any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account and for making sure you are allowed to connect each AWS account you connect. You can remove access at any time by deleting the IAM role in your AWS account, or the CloudFormation stack or Terraform module that created it.
5Free trial, plans and payment
New accounts start with a 14-day free trial. No payment card is required to start the trial. To keep using the Service after the trial, you subscribe to a paid plan.
Plans and prices are shown on our pricing section. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically each month until cancelled. Prices exclude taxes; applicable VAT or sales tax is added at checkout.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to payments and handles returns.
You can cancel at any time from your account or by writing to us. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.
We may change prices for future billing periods. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change applies to your subscription.
6Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- connect AWS accounts you are not authorized to access;
- try to access other customers' data, or probe, scan or test the Service's security without our written permission;
- disrupt or overload the Service, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows;
- resell or provide the Service to third parties as your own product without our written agreement;
- use the Service in breach of any law.
7Your data
You keep all rights to the data the Service reads from your AWS accounts. You give us permission to process it only to provide the Service to you. We do not sell it and do not share it with other customers. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Notice.
8Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, rules and design, belongs to us. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it during your subscription. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.
9Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We may improve, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.
10Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, or for decisions you make based on the Service's recommendations. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer where consumer law applies.
11Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, after notice where reasonable. When an account is closed, we delete its data as described in the Privacy Notice.
12Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of the Republic of Moldova, unless mandatory law gives you the right to bring a claim in your country of residence.
13Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify you by email or in the Service at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
